Aluminium, wood, hydraulics
900cm x 550 cm x 380 cm.
This kinetic work is made of painted wooden blocks. Each of them supporting each other moves up and down. Hydraulic motors drive this whole structure to create a breathtaking moving sculpture of modern art. The plane starts to emerge from the ground, the sculpture moving very slowly to the top takes the form of a mountain. And also slowly moving down takes a flat shape at ground level. The sculpture of Proto fascinates the one standing in front of it. There is a feeling that you are losing the horizon and feelings of gravity.
“The flatform slowly turns into a complex form, it begins to grow out of the ground and it starts to fill the space. It then slowly moves in the opposite direction frees up space. This is an allegory of the inconstancy of our world, its non-static nature and how it's always in constant motion.“ Unus
