Project for an Oil Company

Project for an Oil Company

This is a project for a particular building owned by an oil company, which was made by the artist some time ago. The sculpture itself is organically included in the architecture, it becomes a natural part of it. It was designed to be kinetic. Steel flowers in daylight come out of the diaphragm and slowly open and when the light decreases, it moves in the opposite direction. All this is controlled from one control panel based on photosynthesis technology.

A mechanical steel flower slowly emerges from under the diaphragm with the help of an engine-driven photosynthesis-based device slowly opening. The more light the more open colours. And in the presence of a sweet matchmaker, they close and slowly go inside the building under the diaphragm. This is a kind of imitation of nature itself. It was assumed that the average diameter of the flower is around 400 cm.
